Three men were arrested in the act by the Military Police, at dawn on Friday (25), after robbing a unit of the drug Raia Pharmacy, on Joaquim Nabuco Street, south of São Paulo.
With the group, the police seized several boxes of the medicines Ozepic and Wegovy, valued at about $ 60,000 besides R $ 3 thousand in kind and three cell phones of high value.
The arrest occurred around 2:40 am, when teams from the 12th Battalion were called via Copom to meet the occurrence of ongoing theft.
Arriving at the scene, the agents caught one of the suspects leaving the pharmacy with a box of medicines in their hands. He tried to escape on foot, but was captured at the door of the establishment. The other two suspects were also arrested in the vicinity after trying to escape.
According to the PM, the trio confessed that he would use a car, parked near the crime scene, for the escape. During the survey, the police found that the vehicle had tampered plates and was theft product in the São Bernardo do Campo region. Sandpaper marks, removable labels and changes in the chassis reinforced the suspicion of cloning. The original identification was confirmed through a vehicle scanner.
In addition to medicines and money, an iPhone XR, an iPhone 14 and an iPhone 15 were seized. One of the suspects had already complied with socio -educational measures at the Casa Foundation for previous offenses.
The occurrence was registered in the 27th Police District, where the detainees remained available to the court. They must respond for theft, vehicle reception and minor corruption.
