The wake of singer Gal Costa this Friday (11) at the Monumental Hall of Alesp (Legislative Assembly of the State of São Paulo), was marked by commotion and tributes and fans and friends, artists and personalities of Brazilian politics. At 15:00, her body left for burial at the Consolação Cemetery, in the central region of the capital.
Fans who passed by Alesp brought posters, records, t-shirts and flowers for the last tribute to the artist.
In addition to the presence of family members, such as partner Wilma Petrillo and son Gabriel, 17, the future first lady Rosângela Lula da Silva, Janja, wife of president-elect Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, was also present with presenter Bela Gil. In addition to state deputy elected Eduardo Suplicy (PT), presenter Serginho Groisman, actor Júlio Andrade and actress Sophie Charlotte, who played the singer in a biographical film not yet released, were in the last goodbye to the singer.

Legacy
At 77, Gal Costa leaves a story of success and admiration. With 57 years of career, she was responsible for consecrating several musical successes, such as “Baby”, “Meu nome é Gal”, “Chuva de Prata”, “Meu bem, meu mal” and “Barato total”.
Born in Bahia in 1945, Maria da Graça Costa Penna Burgos began her artistic life in 1965, when she recorded unpublished songs by Caetano Veloso and Gilberto Gil. Throughout her career, she mixed different styles and recorded songs by several composers, such as Cazuza, Michael Sullivan and Paulo Massadas.
The singer had recently taken to the stage, having even participated in the Coala Festival in September. Gal Costa died on Wednesday (9). The cause of death was not disclosed by the family. However, days earlier, she had surgery to remove a lump in her nostrils.
