Travis Barker thanks Kourtney Kardashian for helping him overcome his fear of flying

Travis Barker is more in love than ever. The Blink-182 drummer posted a photo on Instagram with his girlfriend Kourtney Kardashian, thanking her for helping him overcome one of his biggest fears: flying.

The couple, who confirmed their relationship last February, flew to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico in the private jet of Kylie Jenner, the youngest of the sisters, to enjoy a vacation with Kris Jenner and her boyfriend Corey Gamble.

With you everything is possible. Everything and anything with you.

The 45-year-old Barker developed severe trauma after a terrible plane crash in 2008 that claimed the lives of four of his teammates and left him with third-degree burns to more than half of his body.

Although Barker and his friend Adam Goldstein managed to survive, they both suffered greatly after the accident. The drummer had to spend months in the hospital and endure more than 16 surgeries, while Goldstein died of an overdose a year after the accident.

A source close to the couple stated that Kourntey’s support was what helped Barker overcome his deepest fear, which he has been trying to overcome for more than 10 years with therapy and a calmer lifestyle.

It’s a big deal that Travis flew to Cabo. The plane crash so many years ago was very traumatic. He has needed a lot of help to get to this point. Kourtney has been very supportive of him, never pressuring him to fly. They have been able to travel in the United States without having to take a plane and Kourtney has agreed with that.

During an interview with Men’s Health Earlier this year, Barker spoke about how difficult it was for him to deal with panic attacks, trauma and survivor guilt, a very peculiar syndrome that made him feel bad for having survived the accident.

I made the decision to quit drugs, the medications that were prescribed for pain from the surgeries. People always ask me if I went to rehab. All I tell them is, ‘No, I was in a plane crash.’ That was my rehabilitation. When you lose three of your friends and almost die. That was my wake-up call. If I hadn’t been in that accident, I probably never would have stopped.
