The trailer for the film “Despicable Me 4”, released this Sunday (28) by Illumination, shows the main character of the animation, the anti-hero Gru, with another son, Gru Jr. See the English version below.
The new character will be Gru's first blood son, who married spy Lucy Wilde.
The film is scheduled to premiere in theaters on June 3, 2024.
The trailer for the new film also presents the continuity of the yellow Minions, who are Gru's clumsy assistants, in the story.
The first in the franchise shows Gru adopting three daughters. In the second, he meets and falls in love with secret agent Lucy Wild. The third animation in the saga introduces the public to Gru's twin brother, Dru.
In 2017, “Despicable Me 3” was a huge box office success, surpassing the R$4.92 billion mark worldwide.
The economic mark surpassed the results of the “Shrek” saga, which, until then, was the highest-grossing animation in history.
