The pilot phase of the “entrance ticket” for day visitors to Venice will start on April 25. As stated by the mayor of Galinotati, Luigi Boruniaro, in an interview with the Foreign Press Association of Rome, this pilot phase will last a total of 29 days, until the end of July. The “ticket” will cost 5 euros and can be purchased online, securing a QR code, which will be displayed at any controls. Excluded from payment are permanent residents, students and those visiting Venice for health or work reasons. But everyone, in case they are not going to spend the night in the city, will have to register on the cda ve.it website to be able to enter its historic center during this experimental phase without the risk of being fined.
