In a stern tone he addressed his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, during the closed-door talks of the Group of Twenty (G20) in Bali.
“To our Russian colleagues: Ukraine is not your country. Her cereal is not your cereal. Why are you blocking ports? You should let the grain come out,” Blinken told Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, whom he declined to meet separately.
Blinken spoke before the Russian delegation on American economic aid to meet world food shortages caused by the war in Ukrainea country that is one of the world’s major grain exporters.
“Russia is the img of the problem, the United States is focused on the solutions,” Blinken said, according to the Western official as reported by APE-BPE, citing Reuters.
