After ending May with net outflows of US$ 5.760 billion, the foreign exchange flow registered to Brazil was positive at US$ 6.483 billion in June, the Central Bank reported this Wednesday (3).
Even with the new update, the exchange flow data is still delayed due to the BC servers strike, which ended on July 5th. This Wednesday, the closed results of last month should be available.
In June, the financial channel of the foreign exchange flow showed net outflows of US$ 3.665 billion. This is the result of contributions in the amount of US$ 49.030 billion and withdrawals totaling US$ 52.695 billion.
The segment includes direct and portfolio foreign investments, profit remittances and interest payments, among other operations.
In foreign trade, the balance in June was positive at US$ 10.148 billion, with imports of US$ 18.985 billion and exports of US$ 29.134 billion. Exports include US$ 2.773 billion in Advance on Exchange Contracts (ACC), US$ 7.913 billion in Advance Payment (PA) and US$ 18.448 billion in other inflows.
Year to date
In 2022 through June, the flow to Brazil was positive at US$ 19.135 billion. In the same period last year, the result was positive at US$ 15.340 billion, in the closed year of 2021, there was a net inflow of US$ 6.134 billion.
The financial channel of the foreign exchange flow showed net outflows of US$ 8.535 billion in the year. This is the result of contributions in the amount of US$ 285.621 billion and withdrawals totaling US$ 294.156 billion.
In foreign trade, the balance in 2022 until June was positive at US$ 27.670 billion, with imports of US$ 115.284 billion and exports of US$ 142.954 billion. Exports include US$ 19.912 billion in ACC, US$ 34.368 billion in PA and US$ 88.674 billion in other entries.
