The actor tom cruise is without seeing the youngest daughter, Suri currently 16 years old, for at least a decade, according to the British newspaper The Times.
Suri is the result of the actor’s marriage to the actress Katie Holmes , from whom Cruise was divorced in 2012, when the girl was 5 years old. Since then, father and daughter have not been seen together.
After the divorce, the American Justice granted Tom the right to visit his daughter 10 days a month and the obligation to pay a monthly pension of US$ 33 thousand. According to the international media, Tom has been fulfilling the financial obligation.
Visits to the daughter, however, do not occur. The Times claims that Tom and Suri’s estrangement raises questions about the Church of Scientology’s role and impact on Cruise’s life.
The actor would have known religion through actress Mimi Rogers, his first wife, with whom he was married from 1987 to 1990. After they divorced, Rogers abandoned religion and attributed the end of the marriage to the leader of Scientology, David Miscavige.
In addition to Suri Cruise, the Mission Impossible star has two other children, Isabella, 28, and Connor, 26. The two were adopted from his second marriage to actress Nicole Kidman.
After the end of the relationship, Tom was left with custody of the children, who also became followers of Scientology.
Siblings Isabella and Connor are currently married to partners who attend the same religious group, but remain estranged from their mother, Nicole Kidman.
“They chose to be Scientologists and, as a mother, my job is to love them”, said the actress in an interview with the American magazine Australia’s Who, in 2018.

Understand what Scientology is
Created in 1954 by the American Lafayette Ron Hubbard, the scientology it is a set of beliefs that hold that every human being has a reactive mind that responds to life’s traumas, preventing them from experiencing reality.
To free themselves from these traumas, members of the religion undergo auditions that help them find the source of these traumas, directing them to a spiritual state called “clear”.
The Church of Scientology claims to have 10,000 units, missions and groups spread across 167 countries, with more than 4.4 million registered followers each year.
Scholars, however, claim that the number of members should not exceed the hundreds of thousands, and many of them are among Hollywood celebrities.
In addition to Tom Cruise, other celebrities who are also supporters of the belief are Priscilla Presley, John Travolta, Kirstie Alley and Juliette Lewis.
In Brazil, Scientology has been registered as a religion since 2004. At least three units of the church are already registered in the country.
