There are two ways to watch a Pixar movie. The first is to just watch it. The second is to let me teach you something. About you, about family, about being a parent, about being a child.
Just to give a few examples, in no particular order. That the arrival of a little brother who steals all your attention may not be so bad, after all, because you will always have a friend by your side (Toy Story). That raising children means letting them go, despite the fear (Nemo). That making children laugh, and maybe laugh with them, is better than making them cry (Monsters and Co). That being parents means being superheroes, because children have superpowers, yes, but above all that of making you lose your patience (The Incredibles). That children won’t be children forever, so it’s worth letting them enjoy the «stupidera» (Inside Out). That family is not only who is there, but also who was there (Coco). And that the many facets of personalities shouldn’t be scary (elementals).
No one like Pixar has ever spoken so much and so well to families, probably. Because of this Togetherthe beautiful new musical from Disneyland Parisis the culmination of a whole series of teachings, the perfect moment to experience with the whole family (as if the most famous amusement park in Europe weren’t already in itself).
An immersive show
On stage from July 15, Together brings together the most beloved characters from the Pixar world in a production of the highest level, which would not be out of place in some of the most renowned theaters in the world for the musical genre. Nearly fifty people on stage, two hundred people in all behind the scenes, a mix of a live musical orchestra and a soundtrack recorded with fifty-four musicians in Nashville Studios accompanying the collective adventure of the characters of Toy Story, Coco, up, Monsters & Co. And Finding Nemo, in a story that wants to teach how music and friendship unite everyone.
On and off stage a team that testifies to the great artistic, productive and technical talent of Disneyland Paris productionswhich are undoubtedly one of the flagships of the theme park (the musical inspired by The Lion King, to say, is of an extraordinary beauty). Cutting-edge technologies, creative lighting, multi-sensory effects and modern choreographies, which succeed in building an immersive experience that has its peak when the theater is filled with magical soap bubbles and the kids go crazy to pop them, while Nemo, right in front of them, swims underwater to save a piece of sheet music.
Music plays a vital role in the show, both in the plot (starting from the performance of young Charlie, who is in danger of losing his precious score on the eve of his show) and in creating the atmosphere, with live musicians and a a melody-focused script, with the original song “Together We Are One” produced exclusively for Disneyland Paris by Guillaume Coignard and Jonathan Barr.
Within this new Pixar-themed fairy tale – which joins the rest of the park’s offer, including rides, attractions, videomapping shows at sunset on the iconic castle of the princesses and drones celebrating the thirtieth anniversary of Disneyland Paris, forming a large silhouette of Mickey Mouse in the sky – it also fits a number of new treats inspired by cartoon characters, such as the Car’s Race Track Treat or the Toy Story’s Cowboy Crunch.
The actresses also tried them on at the première of the show Valentina Romani (voice of Fire in Elementals), and Natalie Portman (who for Disney fans will always be Padme, Queen of Naboo), as well as Chiara Ferragni and the French actor Omar Sy.
How to get to Disneyland Paris
The most comfortable (and also the most ecologically sustainable) way to reach Disneyland Paris, especially when traveling with the family, is certainly TGV INOUI, the fast train that has been connecting Italy and France since 2011 with three daily round-trip trains between Milan, Turin, Oulx and Paris.
A green means of transport (also due to the decision to eliminate plastic from all materials for the consumption of food and drinks on board), which also allows you to travel with a little more relaxation, with the wi-fi connection on board , the “family spaces” made up of four seats facing each other and the possibility, for the little ones, to move around a little more freely than on an airplane.
