Singer Tina Turner died on the 25th, leaving many successes and a recognized artistic legacy, as well as an inheritance valued at approximately US$ 300 million, or about R$ 1.5 billion, to be divided among the family members.
However, the mode of sharing that was expected is undefined. That’s what Afida Turner, Tina’s daughter-in-law and Ronnie’s widow, told the French Canal+ TV program TPMP.
According to Afida, 47% of Tina’s fortune will go to the singer’s husband and the rest will be divided between the children.
The problem is that, according to Afida, the artist would never have legally adopted her ex-husband’s two children.
The rock ‘n’ roll diva has always claimed to have four children, two biological, Craig and Ronnie, and two adopted, Ike Turner Jr and Michael Turner, both from her first husband, Ike.
“So, the only ‘bloods’, as they say, Tina Turner’s descendants would be Craig and Ronnie,” commented Afida.
During the interview, the singer also said that she is “the only one with the name Turner (…) so I really want to honor that name, to respect my in-laws, Craig and Ronnie.”
Craig died in 2018, aged 55, and the investigation found that he committed suicide. Ronnie died in 2022, due to cancer.
According to the law of Switzerland, where Tina lived in her last years of life, the inheritance must be divided between the widower and the children, and other people can only benefit if they are in the will.
Tina Turner’s family has not confirmed that the singer left a will. In addition, the singer’s representatives did not comment on the possible adoption of it.
