This is what Winona Ryder looks like as Lydia Deetz on the set of ‘Beetlejuice 2’

After years of rumors and reports, finally, beetlejuice 2 is a reality. Recently, the sequel to Tim Burton’s 1988 classic began filming in London, England, from where the first images of Winona Ryder as Lydia Deetz arrive.

The lens captured the star of stranger things during filming, inside a car and fully characterized for the role. These snapshots were published by the Epic Film Guys account and quickly went viral on Twitter, as they confirm that, although decades have passed, Lydia still prefers the darker perspectives of reality since she wears the characteristic looks of the endearing gothic teenager.

In addition to the new film that will see the return of Winona Ryder, original stars Michael Keaton and Catherine O’Hara will also reprise their roles as Beetlejuice and Delia Deetz, respectively, alongside a new character played by Jenna Ortega, whom we enjoyed in the Netflix mega-hit merlinin the role of Lydia’s daughter.

As if that were not enough, it was recently reported that Monica Bellucci will also be in the cast of the film to give life to Beetlejuice’s wife, as well as Justin Theroux and the great Willem Dafoe, newcomers to the franchise, although the roles of both are still a mystery, just like the plot of beetlejuice 2.

For now, it is known that Tim Burton will direct the film from a script by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, who worked with the famous filmmaker on Merlina. As for the soundtrack, it will once again be written by Danny Elfman.
