This is the Turkish actor who canceled theatrical performance in Greece because of Erdogan’s censorship

The censorship of the Erdogan regime has prevented the popular Turkish actor Cem Yiğit üzümoğlu, known as the Netflix series “Rise of Empires: Ottoman Emprire”, to participate in the play “Dogs”. The 31 -year -old actor, who was due to appear in the show on April 25 at the Ark Theater, was arrested on April 3 with charges of incitement to hatred and discrimination, due to his involvement in protests for the prison of Constantinople’s mayor. His arrest was linked to his support in a boycott campaign aligned with the Erdogan government and the initiative of abstinence from markets and payments on April 2 in response to the arrest of 301 students.
