This is love of work: For 37 years, grandmother has gone out to sell empanadas on her bicycle

When you have the enthusiasm and the desire to get ahead, nothing can stop us. This is demonstrated by a wonderful entrepreneur, who despite her age and her economic limitations goes out to sell her products full of spirit.

This is the grandmother María Marina Ramírez Torales, 69, who loads her bicycle with the bags that contain her famous empanadas and the necessary furniture to set up her little stand, once ready, the native of Concepción, Paraguay, gets on her bike to go to one of the points in the city, where he regularly stops to sell his products.

I have had this bike for 14 years, because the one I had was stolen and after that I was very bad. This one was given to me by a lady, she is already old, but she still walks.

With a charming naturalness, Ña María, as her clients know her, told the newspaper Extra his work, which consists of getting up at 2:00 am to get to prepare the dough and the filling that his products carry, managing to sell the 200 empanadas he prepares per day.

People like it too much, there was just a queue of 10 to 12 people, all of them waited for me to buy my empanadas. Many help me, some fry, others carry the empanadas, all of them call me grandma. Some wear 10, 15 or 25, people like it.

The tender businesswoman spreads her enthusiasm to everyone who sees her happily passing by on her bicycle. As if that were not enough, she surprised us to learn that with her humble business she managed to give her children a career, since they are all professionals and are already married.

However, María does not plan to stop, because after 37 years, her business has become an important part of her life. Plus, she helps her stay active and healthy.

We can’t wait to try some of their empanadas, because we are sure that they are delicious, since it shows that they were made by a professional, with the special touch that only dedication and love can give.
