A 27-year-old man was arrested in the act after invading a residence, stealing objects and being found sleeping in the victim’s bed in the ideal neighborhood of São Mateus, Espírito Santo, at dawn on Friday (25).
According to the Military Police, the owner of the house reported having found the property overturned upon arriving home. The biggest surprise came upon entering the room, where he caught the invader quietly sleeping in his bed.
Upon being awakened by the police, the suspect tried to escape through the window, but was prevented by the garrison. There was resistance to prison, and it was necessary to use the force to raise it. During the containment, the detainee ended up hitting the face on the floor, suffering a cut in the left eyebrow.
The man was taken to Roberto Silvares Hospital to receive medical attention and, after the discharge, was referred to the São Mateus Regional Police Station.
In a statement to the military police, he confessed to being a drug user and practicing theft and theft to support the addiction.
The Civil Police reported that the suspect was charged in the act for attempted qualified theft and sent to the prison system. The case is still under investigation.
