The Civil Defense and the Public Security Secretariat (SSP) of São Paulo stated, in a joint note, that there is no indication that the body found yesterday (3) on the banks of a dam in Natividade da Serra, in the Vale region of Paraíba, is related to the helicopter that disappeared last Sunday (31).
The Civil Police are investigating the finding of the male body, which was already in a state of decomposition, which is why it has not yet been identified. According to the SSP, expertise was called and tests were requested to identify the victim. The case was registered as a suspicious death (found body) at the Taubaté Sectional Police Station.
The helicopter that disappeared took off at around 1 pm from Campo de Marte airport, in the north of the city of São Paulo, and was going to Ilhabela, on the North Coast, on the 31st.
The aircraft was piloted by Cassiano Tete Teodoro, 44 years old. In addition to him, businessman Raphael Torres, 41, was on the helicopter. He was responsible for booking the flight and inviting his friend Luciana Rodzewics, 45, and her daughter, Letícia Ayumi Rodzewics Sakumoto, 20.
The searches entered their fourth day today, with support from the PM Aviation Command to teams from the Brazilian Air Force (FAB). The State Civil Defense reported that the forecast for the search region is cloudy and moderate rain showers.
