“It is a journey to the end of a man.” And again: «A love story, and like all love stories therefore a thriller». Word of Fabio D’Innocenzo and his twin Damiano who arrive at the cinema from 13 January with America Latina, a film that is difficult to classify and that has little to do with the title. It is the last work of the d’Innocenzo brothers, presented at the last Venice festival, after The land of enough e Bad Tales.
A black fairy tale that kidnaps the viewer and makes him move through the face of Elio Germano, absolute protagonist. It will end with him in a basement, where everything we want to hide ends. Also in the cast Astrid Casali, Sara Ciocca, Maurizio Lastrico, Carlotta Gamba, Federica Pala, Filippo Dini and with the participation of Massimo Wertmüller.
Hero Massimo Sisti, a dentist by profession, wealthy, with a polite manner. Married, two daughters, a villa with swimming pool in the isolated Pontine countryside. Land (also) of mysteries, mysteries that Massimo also hides from himself.
Distributed by Vision Distribution, and produced by Lorenzo Mieli for The Apartment, a company of the Fremantle group and Vision Distribution, in co-production with Le Pacte and in collaboration with Sky, it is an exciting (and upsetting) journey in the darkness of the human mind. It lasts 90 minutes (like a football match), but you leave the cinema a little disoriented and upset. But isn’t that the beauty of it?
