The submission of applications for the 4th cycle of the Visa Innovation Program has started

Visa Inc. (NYSE: V) announced the start of applications for the new team of fintech startups, which will join in 2022 in the 4th cycle of the Visa Innovation Program.

The Visa Innovation Program is a pilot platform that develops and scales innovation in the fintech space. Involves start-ups and Visa’s global network of partners, including neo-banks, traditional banks, merchants, government and other reputable organizations, to review and validate new business proposals and bring innovative products and services to market.

Since its launch in 2018, the Visa Innovation Program has attracted more than 500 applications from Europe, the Middle East, Asia, the USA and Latin America. For the past four years, 50 fintech companies have participated in the program. They managed to raise a total of more than 150 million euros in funding and closed 45 PoCs (proof of concepts), pilot applications and commercial agreements as part of the Program.

The initiative offers participating entrepreneurs quick access to new markets and a global pool of potential customers. During the Visa Innovation Program, teams gain access to specialized fintech know-how and work with design thinking consultants to improve the value of their proposal, define new uses, apply new technologies and unlock new business opportunities. The startup teams also work with investors and venture capital firms, whose main goal is to support and develop fintech companies.

The Visa Innovation Program is developed in collaboration with Eleven, one of the leading venture capital companies in South East Europe, Crowdpolicy, a provider of business information systems solutions in the field of civictech and fintech as well as open innovation services (Greece) and Hackquarters, accelerator startups and business innovation partner (Turkey).

Applications for the 4th Cycle of the Program can be submitted until March 14 at www.visainnovationprogram.com and specifically for Greece at https://www.crowdpolicy.com/innovation-program/greeces4/. Applications can be submitted by startups with defined groups and active products or fintech solutions in the areas of Promotion of next generation payment methods, Empowerment of SMEs, Opening of new payment flows, Building a smart and sustainable future.
