The Stock Exchange finds the way for the 830 units

The Athens Stock Exchange is currently trying to recover the 830 points, which started with satisfactory profits but low turnover, as many buyers are exploring the entry opportunities after the recent big drop.

In particular, the General Index records gains of 0.93% at 833.11 points, while the turnover is at 3 million euros and the volume at 1.1 million units. The FTSE 25 also recorded an increase of 0.72%, at 2,001.54 points, while the banking index moves with gains of 0.92% to 523.72 points.

The Stock Exchange finds the way for the 830 units

So far we see an FTSE 25 being maintained with 3-4 index stocks, with OTE, OPAP and EEE keeping their character, wondering if the whole market will react or pull them down, according to El. Zacharakis of Fast Finance . Medium capitalization has the biggest drop, having lost the year lows for days.

According to Mr. Zacharakis, the market is logical to follow foreigners, believing that it will be more defensive in the falls and more aggressive in the rise. The results of both the economy and the companies are of the greatest importance for the investors and not only how the foreign markets are moving. In the current decline, however, and having a correction in companies with very good results and growth, there is an opportunity for some to take medium-term positions and not just do trading.

Technically now, we have reached very significant medium-term support levels having, however, the first significant resistance in the 860-point zone. So the level of 800 and 860 units are our two important close levels. In the FTSE 25 the 2,050 – 2,080 units become significant resistance, while the 1,920 units are support. The bank has very large supports in the area of 500 units, a level that it has tried several times and has maintained.

On the board

On the board now, Sarantis and OTE record gains of 2.24% and 2.12% respectively, with PPC, Viohalko, GEK Terna, Alpha Bank and Eurobank following with an increase of over 1%.

Lambda, Terna Energy, Ethniki, Mytilineos, Piraeus, Motor Oil, Jumbo, IPTO and Hellenic Petroleum are moving slightly upwards. On the other hand, OPAP and Coca Cola are moving with small losses.
