The SpaceX rocket has arrived at the International Space Station

Her Crew Dragon Endeavor space capsule SpaceX arrived today and connected smoothly to the International Space Station (ISS), as broadcast online by NASA television.

The first phase of mooring started on 11.08 (Greek time), at a distance of 424 km above the Indian Ocean. The second phase of binding followed, about ten minutes later.

“Welcome to the Second Crew,” said Shannon Walker, the American who currently heads the ISS.

The rocket was launched Friday from the Kennedy Space Center, carrying four members of the “Second Crew” in space: Frenchman Tom Pescier of the European Space Agency (ESA), Americans Shane Kibro and Megan MacArthur and Japon Akihe.

This was the third manned flight of SpaceX, the company founded by Elon Musk and broke the Russian monopoly on flights to and from the ISS.
