However, he pointed out that the commercial world is facing successive and combined challenges, while at the same time it is obliged to prepare its green and digital transition. “The determination of the trading world to be one of the leading sectors in the coming years is a given, spreading the benefits of its own recovery to the whole economy and society. However, the effects of the ongoing pandemic, the acute energy crisis, rising inflationary pressures as well as the digital and “green” lag of small and medium-sized enterprises undermine the painstaking effort of market recovery. “should now be transformed into a network of measures to alleviate tax burdens and stimulate liquidity, by improving the financing criteria for SMEs through the banking system and the new NSRF.”
Referring to the individual arrangements that small and medium-sized enterprises need today, the representatives of the commercial world stressed the need to continue and intensify the measures to support households and businesses throughout the year, as compensation for the very high energy costs. They also reminded that the trade participated to date in the state aid from a disadvantaged position, as it did not receive a Restart Program from the State, like the other affected sectors.
– In addition, ESEE stressed, among other things, the need for:
Immediate introduction of a targeted Trade Enhancement Program in the context of the restart of the economy.
– Subsidized employment programs in Trade.
Conversion of the repayable advance into a non-repayable one for amounts of at least less than 20,000 euros.
– Abolition of the Performance Fee.
Accelerate the energy upgrade of SMEs. (“Saving” for businesses).
– Accelerate the implementation of Open Malls.
– Institutionalization of the tourist commercial enterprise.
Acceleration of the replacement procedures of the old and energy-intensive electric cooling-heating devices (air-condition – refrigerators).
