The “Perfect Luke Peach”: Lack in Britain with ads for Brazilian buttocks buttocks

Six companies’ ads for growth and lifting buttocks, also known as Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL), were banned in the United Kingdom because they raise the dangers and exploit women’s insecurities around the body image. They all appeared on Facebook or Instagram and used bids with limited time to push customers “irresponsibly” to book, says the ASA Authority. An advertisement, for example, tried to entice customers with an “exclusive opportunity” to get a “perfect peach look”. Wet BBLs include material infusion into the buttocks to lift them and make them look bigger or round. ASA says that because of the risks it involves, aesthetic surgery should be presented as a decision that needs time and thinking, and not as an urgent need to grab an agreement.
