Over 35,000 people took part in Miami Bitcoin 2022 last year, they say data conference site. In 2023, the organizers report that future participants have bought less than 15,000 tickets: half as much as a year ago.
The drop in interest in the annual conference and the topic of cryptocurrency assets, according to the project team, was influenced by the ongoing crypto winter and the aggressively conservative policy of the US government authorities regarding the prospects for regulating the industry.
The current Miami Bitcoin Conference will be held in Miami Beach, Florida from May 18-20 (the fourth event since 2020). Robert Kennedy, Arthur Hayes, Michael Saylor, as well as representatives of about 400 other companies in the crypto industry are invited as speakers.
Previously, specialized media reported that venture investments in cryptocurrency projects in Florida decreased by 92% in the first quarter of the year, while funding for traditional technology startups from Silicon Valley decreased by only 53%.
