The number of requests for bitcoin approached the historical maximum

The number of searches for the word “bitcoin” is approaching an all-time high. Quantum Economics founder Mati Greenspan drew attention to Google Trends data.

The number of requests for the word “bitcoin” began to grow in early October 2020. At that time, Google Trends was 9% of its all-time high, while Bitcoin was trading at around $ 10,500.

Google searches for the first cryptocurrency grew in parallel with the price of the first cryptocurrency. On January 1, Bitcoin was at the $ 28,000 mark, and the interest rate was already 42% of the 2017 peak.

At the moment, the number of requests is 78% of the previous peak of the indicator. The first cryptocurrency is quoted at $ 36,600, according to CoinGecko.

In Russia, the popular request is “bitcoin”, the rate of which has also grown significantly over the past few months.

Most often, the first cryptocurrency is looked for together with the words “exchange”, “bitcoin cash” and “ethereum”.

Residents of the Russian Federation have become more often interested in cryptocurrency against the background of the rise in the price of bitcoin.
