Apple Music elected “The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill” like the best album ever recorded in history .

Discover the album “The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill”
Released on August 25, 1998, “The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill” (which can be translated to something like “Lauryn Hill’s lack of education”) yielded five Grammys for the singer, including the awards for Best New Artist It is Album of the Year — and marking the first time a hip-hop album won in this last category.
That night, she became the first woman to win five or more Grammys .
Lauryn Hill began her musical career as part of the band The Fugees, with which she had already won two Grammy awards, but it was with her first and only solo album that the singer established herself as one of the best in music.

The album turned 25 years old in 2023, the year in which the singer announced a reunion with the musicians from The Fugees for an international tour to celebrate the date.
“'The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill' is and was a love song to my parents, my family, my people, my musical and cultural ancestors, my teachers, my loves, my Creator,” she said of the album in the statement announcing the tour.
“I wrote love songs and protest songs (still love songs) about subjects and interests that inspired and moved me. I was confident that what inspired me would resonate with an audience who had been led to believe that music of this kind could only live in the past,” she added.
Lauryn Hill comes to Brazil in 2024
The singer Lauryn Hill comes to Brazil later this year, to perform at the Chic Show festival 50 years which takes place on July 13th, in São Paulo.
The traditional São Paulo dance bears the legacy of the party that was one of the main points of dissemination of black music in SP. The stage chosen for the event was Allianz Parque, located in the west of São Paulo, where the party was held.
In addition to the artist, names like YG Marley, Mano Brown, Criolo, Jimmy “Bo” Horne”, Rael and Sandra de Sá are confirmed. Tickets, which went on sale last month, are still available at Tickets On website and at the official box office.
