Specialists of the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of Russia are currently actively developing a function that will allow users to delete their personal data from third-party services through the Gosuslugi portal – more on this today, January 26, with reference to the Deputy Head of the State Duma Committee on Information policy of Anton Gorelkin was reported by the information publication RIA Novosti. In addition, journalists asked Gorelkin a question about the possibility of deleting biometric data in the same way in the future – the head of the committee said that such a function would also be implemented in the near future.
Gorelkin said that the ability to delete their personal data from third-party services through a single interface of “Gosuslug” will be especially useful for those users who have already forgotten which services they provided their data to. Accordingly, citizens of Russia will be able to quickly and conveniently clear the information field of their personal information if the services to which this information was previously provided are no longer in demand for them.
