The main thing is not to leak: a PC case with a full-fledged aquarium is presented

There are plenty of strange and very unusual cases on the market of computer components for every taste and color (and wallet, of course), but the Chinese company with the rather telling name MetalFish decided to stand out from the competition with a unique project of its kind. We are talking about the Y2 Fish Tank Chassis case, which “on paper” looks completely standard – Micro-ATX format, support for all modern components, legs to reduce vibration. But this case has an additional compartment in the upper part, which is a completely full-fledged aquarium for fish. It does not affect the operation of the computer at all and, one might say, acts as an independent separate component.

The total volume of the Y2 Fish Tank Chassis computer case is 27 liters, which is quite good for a relatively compact format, but slightly less than half of this volume (13 liters) is allocated specifically for the aquarium. Especially for this, the manufacturer uses a fairly thick glass, which is installed in a solid structure, plus there is a full-fledged water filter that runs on USB and is included in the package of this model. Moreover, so that the user’s fish are not so bored, this section of the body has its own backlight, which can be controlled using the remote control (there is also a backlight off function).

True, some drawbacks of this solution immediately arise – the illumination of the fish compartment does not synchronize with the rest of the system components. This means that the illumination of the video card, the motherboard or the main compartment of the case is in no way connected with the illumination of the aquarium – they will either constantly differ, or the user will have to constantly adjust one to the other with the remote control. In addition, the manufacturer does not specify the effect of the aquarium on the cooling system of the computer itself. Most likely, they are also not interconnected in any way, but it is likely that during prolonged loads, the heat from the processor or video card will begin to heat the water in the aquarium.

In addition, the computer in any case emits various vibrations during operation – I wonder how this will affect pets, who will already be stressed due to fan noise, high temperatures and “light music”. However, the cost of this case is only $ 75 in China – not too expensive for an unusual experiment.
