One of the creators of the game and executive producer of the series, Craig Mazin he assured that Pascal will not disappear once and for all, and that Joel will still be present in Flashbacks.

“If we do our work well, you will feel Joel’s presence there a lot,” Mazin told Entertainment Weekly.
