The Great Debate: see if it is worth investing in Renda+

A new public bond is already on the market to invest in private retirement. With R$30, you can start investing in the Renda+ of the National Treasury. The novelty is that the investment amount will be paid for 20 years, as a monthly income and not with a total withdrawal at maturity.

Renda+ pays off in the long run, but is not very flexible, so it is more aimed at those who want to save extra money for retirement. Still, the balance tends to be more positive than negative.

The novelty pleased. Fixed-income investments from the Direct Treasury, Treasury RendA+ Retirement Extra, totaled more than R$ 60 million in the first week of trading, between January 30th and February 3rd.

The new title — created to complement the retirement of Brazilians with an amount corrected for inflation — was purchased by more than 7,600 people in the period.
