The Governor of the Northern Mariana Islands Arnold Palasios imposed a veto on a bill that allowed the issue of Tinian Musd stabilcoin, tied to the US dollar and provided in cash and treasury bills, on the ECASH blockchain.

Arnold Palacios (Arnold Palacios) substantiated the veto with the legal problems and potential unconstitutionality of the bill. He notedthat the document, in addition to the release of stablecoin, regulated the rules for licensing the activities of online casinos in the island state. At the same time, the bill did not limit the gambling gambling activity to the jurisdiction of the island of Tinian, but extended its effect to all the Northern Mariana Islands, which have the status of a non -irradiated organized territory of the United States.

The governor expressed concern that the absence of strict measures of supervision in the bill to prevent illegal gambling activities and the possibility of uncontrolled crossing of legal boundaries came into conflict with the current law enforcement practice.

IN interview Cointelegraph co -founder and technical director of Marianas Rai Vin Armani said that earlier the Tiniana government chose his company to provide technological services for the production of MUSD and develop its ecosystem. However, under the current conditions, he does not see the prospects for adopting a bill allowing MUSD to issue.
