The first state esports school opened in Russia: Dota 2 and League of Legends are taught there

In Novosibirsk, on the basis of the school of the Olympic reserve for shooting sports, the first state e-sports school was opened. Students will learn the rules and intricacies of playing Dota 2 and League of Legends. This was announced by the official Telegram channel of the government of the Novosibirsk region “Novosibir”.

For the training of future cybersportsmen, we selected the appropriate equipment: modern computers, gaming chairs and necessary accessories. Classes will be conducted by certified eSports coaches. Persons who have reached the age of 12 can get into the school. They must show good playing skills and be selected based on the results of individual testing. The enrollment for the first course has already taken place.

It is assumed that in addition to computer games, students will take physical training classes. The corresponding standards for e-sportsmen were approved by the Russian government in January of this year. It is also worth noting that at the end of this year, Russian universities are planning to introduce eSports programs, which will be aimed at developing gaming skills and training game developers.
