The president of the Czech Republic, Petr Pavel, was involved in a car accident with his motorcycle and was taken to a Prague hospital Thursday night, however his condition is not considered “serious”, as his services announced via X. Mr. Pavel, 62 years old, president of the Czech Republic from March 2023, will be hospitalized at the military university hospital in Prague for an unspecified period of time. “His injuries are not serious, but he will need to remain under observation for some time,” his services explained. According to the Czech press, the head of state suffered a fall while driving on a closed track. Police are not investigating the accident. A retired Czech army general who served in NATO, Mr. Pavel is a passionate motorcyclist, currently riding a powerful BMW R1200 GS.
