Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella confirmed at a private press briefing that the company has already released a version of Edge based on the ChatGPT language model. Thus, critical aspects of the browser have been replaced with artificial intelligence tools, and web browsing involves requests in natural language.
Google and other search engines have been using AI to provide search results for several years, but Microsoft has a different opinion. For her, this is a “co-pilot”, offering new features for search, communication and response to requests. Experts fear that ChatGPT will soon be used for destructive cyberattacks. In this regard, the new Bing will limit the number of characters for complex queries to 1000 characters. Users will still be able to see regular search results, while AI suggestions will still be displayed in the sidebar. In fact, information is generated there based on user actions on the Internet. For example, AI will make a list of necessary purchases or select the best recipes from several sources, and even create its own.

Users can also continue the conversation with the AI after the initial search. The chat function is used to delve into a particular issue. This integration continues in the Edge browser, where the web page is constantly parsed and compared to other pages, summarized, and links traced. All this is displayed on the sidebar.
Google, in turn, announced its own Bard AI language model, which is positioned as an alternative to ChatGPT. It is expected that it will be used in the Google search engine.
