The Canadian Liberal Party wins the federal elections of 2025 – CBC News

As the polls closed in Canada, the first results showed that the Liberal Party in power won the federal elections, according to CBC News.

Mark Carney will keep his position as prime minister, projected CBC News, noting that it is still too early to know if he has achieved a majority or minority government.

The liberals represented more than 50% of the votes, followed by the Conservative Party, with a vote participation of 38.6%,

A party needs to win 172 seats to form a majority government.
