A Easter arrived and, along with it, the traditional CNN Travel & Food Easter Egg Tasting is already among us.
From small boutique chocolatiers, traditional pastry shops to big brands with units spread across the city of São Paulo, this year 44 Easter eggs were selected and tasted.
To help in the pleasant task, our presenter Daniela Filomeno and the team CNN Travel & Gastronomy They gathered a group of people in the newsroom – who can’t do without good chocolate – to evaluate them one by one. The eggs went through a previous selection made by the team CNN.
The judging team included Bianca Mirabili pastry chef at award-winning Evvai; Luana Sabino , by the Mexican Metzi, also on the list of the 50th Best Latin America; and the personal chef Luiza Zaidan . Among the influencers were Purple Tamyris , Mariana Mallemont , Lilian Sa, Miriam Adabo, Ana Carolina Varandas It is Alexandre Guerra . Eggs of different sizes, weights, flavors and fillings were tasted, with prices starting at R$82.50 and reaching R$388.

Among the examples, the CNN Viagem e Gastronomia team tried white chocolate, Belgian chocolate and truffle eggs – they even had gorgonzola with dulce de leche and walnuts and also cachaça and cupuaçu. The eggs category chosen for this year was Stuffed shell and some element other than chocolate. For example, eggs with chestnuts, fruits, jams, dulce de leche, among others.
The fillings also stood out: brigadeiro, passion fruit with basil, pistachio ganache and Sicilian lemon pie with pistachio were some of the delicacies tasted.

The criteria evaluated were: palate (taste), texture and balance. Each participant gave a score from zero to five in each topic, thus gathering a total score for each product.
