She had a happy ending kidnapping of 31 immigrants in the state of Tamaulipasin northern Mexico, after authorities announced their release today.

Interior Minister Luisa Alcalde announced a while ago through her post on the X platform (formerly Twitter) that “as we were informed by Governor Américo Villarreal, the 31 migrants kidnapped in Tamaulipas have been rescued and are safe”, thanking the state services, the national guard and the armed forces.

Unknown persons kidnapped the 31 on Saturday Immigrants who were traveling by bus from the city of Monterey to Matamoros, near the US border. According to the Minister of Security and Citizen Protection, Rosa Isela Rodríguez, the abductees were citizens of Venezuela, Ecuador, Colombia, Honduras and of Mexico.

The US-Mexico border is “the world's most dangerous land migration route,” with 686 dead or missing, according to an International Organization for Migration (IOM) report released in September.
