Thales Bretas remembers Paulo Gustavo's death 3 years ago: “Not even time heals”

Thales Bretas 36, used social media, this Saturday (4), to pay tribute to him Paulo Gustavo , who died three years ago, victim of Covid-19. The doctor also talked about what it's been like dealing with the loss of her husband.

“Even though I try not to worry too much about this date, a melancholy overtakes me before, during and after it. Although I don't talk much publicly about grief, it lives inside me, whether I like it or not. Nobody wants it. But the fact, and what I learned over these 3 years, is that he is and will always be here. This is me now”, he began.

It changed me forever, like a birth. While birth is the promise of a new world that reveals itself little by little, death is the certainty that a world has ended abruptly and definitively. People ask me how I managed to “get over” or move on after such a loss. And the truth is that you can't overcome it. Not even time heals,” he continued.

“He shows you the need to find yourself again in this absence. In longing. In adapting plans. It is a fact that, for those who stay, life goes on. And I think, I always have and I will think that there is a lot to live for while we are given this gift,” he added.

Paulo Gustavo died on May 4, 2021 at the age of 42 due to complications from Covid-19. The comedian has been married to Bretas since 2015, with whom he has two children, Romeu and Gael, now 4 years old.

Mariana Xavier with whom Paulo worked on the trilogy “My mother is a piece” left a comment on the post.

“Hey, Thales… we keep living, but the scar remains… all the love to you!”, he wrote.
