Two Belgian teenagers were charged for wildlife piracy on Tuesday, having found thousands of ants packed in test pipes, which according to Kenya authorities is part of a trend of smaller and less known species. Lornoy David and Seppe Lodewijckx, two 19 -year -olds arrested on April 5 with 5,000 ants in a hostel, appeared, according to the Associated Press, before a judge in Nairobi and said they were gathering the ants for fun and did not know that. In a separate criminal case, according to CNN, Kenyatis Dennis Ng’ang’a and Vietnamese Duh Hung Nguyen were also accused of illegal trafficking in the same courtroom after their arrest while having 400 ants in possession.
