In a statement to the police, the teenager who killed his parents and sister in São Paulo said he had argued with his father the night before the murders and that, as a form of punishment, he had been left without access to his cell phone. After the fight, he decided to murder his parents and sister.
On Friday afternoon, after being unable to present a school assignment due to having no cell phone and being called a “bum”, the teenager waited for his father to arrive from school with his younger sister and fatally shot the victim.
He then went up to the top of the house and shot his sister in the face. After that, the young man went to the gym. In the evening, after waiting for his mother to arrive from work, the teenager opened the gate for her to enter the car and, once inside the house, he executed her.
The offender revealed that he had already thought about killing his parents on another occasion, but that he did not go through with the plan.
The police are trying to clarify more details of the case. Witnesses are expected to be interviewed in the coming days.
The case
A 16-year-old teenager was arrested this Sunday (19) after confessing to the police that he had shot and killed his parents and sister at the family home, located in Vila Jaguara, in the west zone of the capital of São Paulo.
In his statement, the young man said he “would do it all again”.
According to the São Paulo Public Security Secretariat, the victims were killed by the young man on Friday (17), but only yesterday, three days after the incident, did the young man call the police and confess to the crime.
Military police officers were called to the scene, by the teenager himself, at around 10:55 pm this Sunday. To the agents, he reported that he used his father's gun, a 57-year-old municipal guard, to commit the murders. The offender's father had worked in the city of Jundiaí since 2012.
