A 14-year-old teenager died after being hit by a car on Tuesday afternoon (22) on Padre Manoel da Nóbrega Highway, in Praia Grande, São Paulo coast.
According to the Military Police, the 47 -year -old driver of the vehicle said he drove down the highway when he saw four children on the shoulder.
The accident occurred around 3 pm, after the young man tried to cross the track suddenly to fetch a kite, the driver said he could not divert or brake in time.
The victim could not resist the injuries and died on the spot. The driver called for help and performed a test of the alcohol meter, which attested negative for drunkenness.
The case was registered as a manslaughter in the direction of vehicle at the Praia Grande Judicial Police Center (CPJ), which requested expertise.
