If you like watching Taylor Swift at awards shows, wait until you see her at the Super Bowl.
After much speculation and careful calculations about how long it would take Taylor Swift to travel from Tokyo to Las Vegas, the pop star arrived at Allegiant Stadium for the Super Bowl about two hours before kickoff.
Taylor was wearing an all-black outfit, with a red jacket and a necklace with the number 87, a nod to her boyfriend Travis Kelce's number.
She was seen arriving at the stadium with her friend, actress Blake Lively, singer Ice Spice and her parents, Andrea and Scott Swift.
During pre-show performances, Swift and Lively were seen cuddling up as they swayed back and forth to singer Post Malone's performance of “America the Beautiful.”
Malone is one of the guest artists on Swift's upcoming album, “The Tortured Poets Department,” due out April 19.
Swift's appearance at the game comes after she resumed the international leg of her “The Eras Tour” tour in Japan, where she performed four sold-out shows at the Tokyo Dome.
Thanks to a 17-hour time difference, Swift was able to travel back to the US after her final show on Saturday night, with plenty of time to spare before the football game started.
The superstar couple began following comments from Kelce on his “New Heights” podcast in July, when he admitted that he tried to give Taylor his phone number via a friendship bracelet during one of the shows on “The Eras Tour” in which he was present.
Kelce and Swift have since revealed that they began quietly dating soon after. When Swift attended her first game in September, they were already a couple.
Since September, in between breaks from her tour, Swift has appeared at many of Kelce's football games. The Super Bowl is Swift's 13th game she's attended since then, which seems fitting since 13 is her self-proclaimed lucky number.
This is the Chiefs' fourth Super Bowl appearance in five years. The champions face the San Francisco 49ers, who they defeated in the 2020 Super Bowl.
Usher headlines the halftime show.
