Taylor Swift used social media to announce a new recording of an old album: “Speak Now (Taylor’s Version)”. The launch is scheduled for July 7th.
“With six extra songs I’ve pulled from the vault, I can’t wait to celebrate ‘Speak Now (Taylor’s Version)’ with you on July 7th,” Swift wrote.
First released in 2010, “Speak Now” it was written by Swift when she was between 18 and 20, she said.
“The songs that came out of this time in my life were marked by their brutal honesty, unfiltered diary confessions and wild melancholy. I love this album because it tells a story of growth, upheaval, flight and fall… and living to talk about it,” Swift wrote.
Swift’s former label Big Machine sold master recordings from her music catalog in 2019, prompting the singer to record new versions of her old albums. In 2021, Swift released “Fearless (Taylor’s Version)” It is “Red (Taylor’s Version)” .
Swift’s announcement comes during the Eras Tour, her first tour in five years.
