Teamgroup has unveiled the T-Force Cardea A440 Pro solid state drive. It is equipped with a PCIe 4.0 x4 interface, allowing for high read and write speeds. The manufacturer is positioning the Cardea A440 Pro as an SSD for gaming computers.

The M.2 2280 drive has an aluminum heatsink. Thanks to good heat dissipation, performance drops due to overheating are avoided. For cases where it is important to keep small dimensions, there is an option with a “graphene” heatsink – less efficient, but almost does not increase the size of the drive. The dimensions of the SSD with an aluminum heatsink are 80 x 23 x 19 mm, with a “graphene” heatsink – 80 x 22 x 3.7 mm.
The drives are available in 1, 2 and 4 TB sizes. The 1 TB model provides read and write speeds of up to 7200 MB / s and 6000 MB / s, respectively, with a volume of 2 and 4 TB – up to 7400 MB / s and 7000 MB / s, respectively. As for the maximum performance, it reaches 1 million IOPS for all models in all modes.
The resource of a 1 TB drive is declared equal to 700 TBW, a 2 TB drive – 1400 TBW, a 4 TB drive – 3000 TBW. The drives are backed by a five-year warranty.
In the “graphene” version, a 1TB drive costs $ 190, a 2TB drive costs $ 360, and a 4TB drive costs $ 900. In “aluminum” prices are 210, 396 and 990 dollars, respectively.
