In the archiving of the Novartis case for Mr. Georgiadis, SYRIZA-PS refers in an announcement and asks the Minister of Development to submit the completed act to the Parliament. In her announcement, Koumoundourou states: “In a first reading of the archiving act of the Novartis case for Mr. Georgiadis, which he is partially forced to submit to the Parliament, the competent appellate prosecutor makes three important assumptions.
1) He admits that, in fact, Novartis medicines were overpriced in relation to EU prices and the company significantly increased its profits.
However, he filed it as the relevant ministerial decision was not signed by Mr. Georgiadis but by his deputy minister, Mr. Bezas.
2) He admits that, in fact, in the company Novartis during the ministry of Georgiadis, the amount paid is greater than the amount given to the other pharmaceutical companies.
However, he filed it because the percentage of coverage of the total debt of EOPYY to the company was not 100% !!!
3) He admits that, indeed, several unspecified credits and cash deposits arose in the bank accounts of Mr. Georgiadis, relatives and partners.
However, he filed it as he assessed that they probably constitute tax violations, ie tax evasion of the minister, which he could not connect with the Novartis case “.
Commenting, SYRIZA states “and we lived well and Novartis better” and concludes: “We expect from Mr. Georgiadis that as Minister of the Hellenic Republic the Parliament will be respected and will submit to the minutes the archiving act together with the page that ‘ he failed ‘”.
