Sylvester Stallone's long-awaited memoir promises to be a self-help manual.

The 77-year-old actor's autobiographical narrative will follow the editorial line of other successful publications, such as “Greenlights”, by Matthew McConaughey, and “Be Useful”, by Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Stallone, known for his iconic role in “Rocky,” is about to release his life story, titled “The Steps.” [“Os Passos” em tradução livre]in reference to the iconic training scene in which his character runs up the steps of the Philadelphia Museum of Art in the 1976 film.

Scheduled to hit shelves by 2025 through HarperCollins, under the William Morrow imprint, the book is generating expectations after a fierce dispute over the rights.

“'The Steps' will offer readers not only captivating anecdotes from one of Hollywood's biggest stars, but also valuable insights and practical wisdom that will inspire and resonate for generations,'' a source told the publication.

“Sly will go in-depth, offering readers an intimate look at his life journey for the first time. Since the release of 'Rocky,' what has unfolded is an extraordinary love between Sly and the world, a unique bond that has lasted for more than five decades and reflects Sly's remarkable ability to excel and motivate himself,” the publisher described.

Thousands of “Rocky” fans visit the famous steps in Philadelphia every year to recreate Sly’s run and take photos with a statue of the iconic wrestler that was originally a prop in “Rocky III.”

“The famous 72 steps in Philadelphia, featured in the movie 'Rocky,' have become symbolic of resilience and determination and have inspired countless people. This memoir will represent the culmination of decades of reflection since Sly, at age 12, sat on these steps and dreamed of being a hero. The true story is about facing, embracing, and ultimately overcoming life's challenges, step by step, and what we find when we do: hope, happiness, proud humility, joy, and love,” read a statement about the book.
