According to the Federal Police, Oseney da Costa de Oliveira and Jeferson da Silva Lima, suspects in the deaths of Dom Phillips and Bruno Pereira, should be transferred to Manaus next weekend.
Two other suspects involved in the case, Amarildo da Costa de Oliveira, the “Pelado”, and the man who introduced himself as Rubens Villar Coelho, known as “Colombia”, arrived in the Amazon capital last Saturday (9).
They disembarked at Eduardo Gomes International Airport and were later taken directly to the headquarters of the Regional Superintendence of the Federal Police, where they must remain at the disposal of Justice.
Amarildo was the first suspect arrested by the police for involvement in the deaths of Bruno and Dom. He confessed to his participation and indicated where the bodies of the indigenist and the journalist were buried.
Amarildo, his brother, Oseney and Jefferson, who are responsible for the murders of Bruno Pereira and Dom Phillips, had their preventive detention ordered by the Federal Court.
The Justice also decided for the preventive detention of “Colombia”, who was arrested for using a false document. He presented himself spontaneously at the Federal Police in Tabatinga, a municipality in the interior of the state. During the identification he would have shown several documents.
The name “Colombia” was already included in the investigations. PF sources confirmed that he would have business links with Amarildo and would even be his boss. The true identity of “Colombia”, as well as her involvement in the case, is still being investigated.
