Suspected of killing Core police officer in the west of Rio de Janeiro

A shooting on Sunday morning in Bangu, West Zone of Rio de Janeiro, ended with a dead suspect and two prisoners in the Catiri community. The operation began after complaints of a possible dispute between rival factions in the region.

Among the detainees is Walace Andrade de Oliveira, appointed as one of the murderers of inspector João Pedro Marquini, from the Special Resources Coordination (Core), killed in an attempted robbery on March 30. Marquini was married to Judge Tula Mello and was executed to react to the criminal approach.

After the confrontation, three suspects were found injured. One of them could not resist the injuries and died at the scene. The other two were arrested in the act. With the group, police seized a rifle, two pistols and a stolen vehicle.

Walace is appointed as a member of the Red Command and linked to drug trafficking at the Tabajaras Ladeira in Copacabana. He was considered one of the priority targets of the Death Investigations Center for Security Agents at the Capital Homicide Police Station (DHC). Against him there was already an arrest warrant for murder.

At the time of prison, Walace tried to pass his brother, providing false name, social security number, social security number, but the scam was quickly discovered with the support of the PM’s Undersecretary of Intelligence. The occurrence was referred to the 34th DP (Bangu), where the case was registered.

Investigation pointed out targets for the death of inspector of Core

Last Wednesday (16), the Denunciation Dial released a poster with the image of Walace, seeking information about his whereabouts. The hunt for the death of inspector Marquini had already resulted on Tuesday (15) in a joint operation of Core and DHC in the Ladeira dos Tabajaras, where five criminals were killed, including the head of local trafficking, Vinicius Kleber Di Carlantonio Martins, known as “full of hatred.”

Vinicius was the brother of Bruno Di Carlantonio Martins, “Bruninho BR”, who led trafficking in the region until he was killed in 2015. Four suspects were arrested in the same operation, including Antonio Augusto D’Angelo da Fonseca, detained in an apartment in Copacabana.

Investigations indicate that after Marquini’s murder, those involved fled to the Cesar Maia community in Vargem Pequena, a stronghold of the Red Command. The car used in the crime, a Tiggo, would also have been used in another criminal action in Cesarão, in Santa Cruz.

Police believe that all the action was coordinated by Ronaldo Pinto Lima e Silva, the “Ronaldinho dos Tabajaras”, currently arrested. He would have ordered that “full of hatred” would attack militia in Antares, as part of the CV offensive to expand his presence in the west of Rio.
