Suspect of killing 12-year-old teenager has preventive detention ordered in MG

The 25-year-old man suspected of involvement in the death of Ana Luiza Gomes, aged 12, had his arrest maintained by the courts, in a custody hearing held this Thursday (18). The arrest in the act was converted to preventive.

The suspect claimed that he found the teenager on a football field near his house and that the victim was using “loló”, he felt sick and that is why he took her to his house, so he could help the victim.

Judge Juliana Miranda Pagano emphasizes the seriousness of the case: “The defendant takes a twelve-year-old girl into his home, whom he didn't even know, saying he intends to help her, however, what is stated in the records is that later, (… ) the victim came to leave the defendant's house, however, carried by him and simply placed on the sidewalk of the defendant's residence, apparently already lifeless”, says the document.

For the judge, the images from the security cameras do not match the suspect's version. The judge considered that the man already had a criminal record.
