Sunak and Rama agreed to cooperate on immigration – Reason for the increase of irregular Albanians in Britain

They discussed plans to strengthen cooperation and addressing common challenges,” such as closing the “loopholes” that prevent the rapid repatriation of rejected asylum seekers, he added. “They will accelerate their cooperation to address these issues and to deepen the UK’s relationship with Albania more generally,” the spokesman added.

It is noted that immigration is seen as a priority for the conservative British government which is struggling to deliver on the Brexit promiseto “take back control” of Britain’s borders.

Also, since the beginning of the year more than 43,000 migrants – a record number – have arrived on British soil after crossing the English Channel in small boats. At least 12,000 of them were Albanians.
