A survey conducted among 1,200 people over 18 years of age from various regions of Russia showed that 20% of Russians have experience working with cryptocurrencies, and 18% have a detailed understanding of the topic of digital assets.
At the same time, 79% of respondents have never used cryptocurrencies in their daily lives, and 15% of respondents reported that they would like to use virtual coins in the future. 4% of survey participants said that they had tried to use cryptocurrency, and only 2% of Russians use digital assets on an ongoing basis.
19% of respondents noted that they needed cryptocurrencies as an investment instrument or store of value, and 6% used digital assets for transfers.
The vast majority of those who took part in the survey—89%—reported that they currently do not own cryptocurrencies, and 6% of respondents keep 10% of their savings in them. 4% of survey participants said that cryptocurrency makes up from 20% to 50% of their savings, and 1% of respondents keep from 10% to 20% of their funds in cryptocurrency.
Earlier, a Wu Blockchain analyst said that Russia remains the largest supplier of web traffic for five of the eleven largest crypto exchanges – OKX, Bybit, Bitfinex, HTX and Deribit.
