Unions representing employees of different categories in São Paulo promise to paralyze several public services in the state this Tuesday (28).
Unionists protest against the privatization of public companies – especially Sabesp. In total, nine subway and Companhia Paulista de Trens Metropolitanos (CPTM) lines are expected to be affected.
The routes that may have their service interrupted are those that are operated by the public service. The lines under the responsibility of the private sector – two in the subway and two in the train system – should not undergo changes.

In the subway:
- Line 1-Blue (Jabaquara -Tucuruvi)
- Line 2-Green (Vila Madalena – Vila Prudente)

- Line 13-Jade (Engenheiro Goulart – Guarulhos Airport)
Lines that will not be affected
In the subway:
- Line 4-Yellow (Luz – Vila Sônia)
- Line 5-Lilac (Capão Redondo – Chácara Klabin)
On trains:
- Line 8-Diamante (Júlio Prestes – Amador Bueno)

Government tries to minimize impacts
Palácio dos Bandeirantes announced this Monday (27) that it has declared an optional point for this Tuesday.
The government guarantees that “public security services will not be affected, as well as restaurants and mobile stations in Bom Prato, which will continue to normally offer the meals scheduled for Tuesday”.
“Appointments at Specialty Medical Outpatient Clinics (AMEs) in the capital and in other state health units will have their rescheduling guaranteed, as well as at Poupatempo stations”, adds the government.
The São Paulo government also went to court to try to guarantee the operation of trains and the subway in the metropolitan region of the state.
The request for early protection filed with the Court attempts to guarantee the presence of 100% of transport system employees during peak hours and at least 80% during the rest of the day.
City Hall suspends rotation in the capital
The São Paulo Traffic Engineering Company (CET) announced that the municipal vehicle rotation in the capital of São Paulo will be suspended throughout the day this Tuesday (28) due to the planned strike by employees of the subway and Companhia Paulista of Metropolitan Trains (CPTM).
Despite the suspension of the rotation, CET informs that the bus lanes and corridors will continue to operate normally according to the established schedules. There will also be no changes in the Blue Zone.
The CET informs that the other restrictions adopted in the city also continue to apply, such as the Zone of Maximum Restriction on Truck Circulation (ZMRC) and the Zone of Maximum Restriction on Chartering (ZMRF).
Municipal and intercity buses should operate normally.
